Attendance & Punctuality

Deka Lash expects employees to be ready to work at the beginning of assigned daily work hours or appointments to the end of assigned work hours or appointments.   All employees or contractors should arrive 20 minutes prior to the start of their first appointment. 

Absence and Lateness

From time to time, it may be necessary for an employee to be late or absent from work. Deka Lash is aware that emergencies, illnesses, or pressing personal business that cannot be scheduled outside work hours may arise. It is the responsibility of all employees to immediately contact their manager if they will be absent or late. Employees may be asked to provide documentation for reasons of absence.

No Appointments On The Schedule

If an employee is scheduled to work on a day that there is no clients scheduled, the employee is still on call and expected to work.  The employee should monitor and be ready to work up to 1 hour prior to the scheduled appointment.   

Downtime Work

If the employee is on the schedule but not servicing a client, then please "pitch in" and help.  There are many things outside of servicing a client that will help drive the business including gaining more clientele.   Here is a list of items:

House keeping:  

  • The appearance of the studio is very important, this includes cleaning your space and helping with the other stations, storage cabinets and restrooms.  Let's work as a team.


  • No return clients that haven't been to visit in awhile, and invite them in for a service.
  • Thank you cards to clients with a hand written note thanking them for their business and telling them you can't wait to see them again.  (an approved thank you card will be provided).
  • Birthday cards to existing clients
  • Gathering Before and After photos to submit for Instagram or Facebook

Dress Code

Clean and Professional Appearence

Employees of Deka Lash are expected to present a clean and professional appearance while conducting business, in or outside of the office.   Company Logo shirts are provided and should be worn with black pants.   Dressing in a fashion that is clearly unprofessional, that is deemed unsafe, or that negatively affects Deka Lash’s reputation or image is not acceptable. Management reserves the right to send an employee home if it deems clothing choices inappropriate for the spa floor.

Other Employment

Outside Employment

Employees may not take an outside job, either for pay or as a donation of their personal time, with a competitor of Deka Lash; nor may employees do work on their own if it competes or interferes in any way with the sales of products or services that Deka Lash provides to its clients.  Violation of this policy will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination.

Solicitation of Clients

Employees may not solicit, directly or indirectly, any customer of Deka Lash for the purpose of providing any goods or services competitive with the Deka Lash’s business.  Violation of this policy will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination.

Confidential Information and Non-Disclosure

By continuing employment with Deka Lash, employees agree that they will not disclose or use any of Deka Lash’s confidential information, either during or after their employment. Deka Lash sincerely hopes that its relationship with its employees will be long-term and mutually rewarding. However, employment with Deka Lash assumes an obligation to maintain confidentiality, even after an employee leaves the company’s employ. Deka Lash also expects all employees to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all clients who share personal information with them.  Employment with Deka Lash assumes an obligation to maintain confidentiality, even after an employee leaves the company’s employ. Employee agrees that he/she will not, during the course of his/her employment with the Company, or for a period of twelve (12) months thereafter, (i) directly or indirectly solicit any customers of the Company.  Deka Lash also expects all employees to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all clients who share personal information with them.

Use of Equipment

Use of Equipment

Deka Lash will provide employees with the equipment needed to do their job. None of this equipment should be used for personal use, nor removed from the physical confines of Deka Lash —unless it is approved for a job that specifically requires use of company equipment outside the physical facility (i.e. Off site bridal appointment, trade show, or promotional or charitable event).

Use of Internet

Employees are responsible for using the Internet in a manner that is ethical and lawful and reflects positively on Deka Lash. Use of the Internet at the spa must solely be for business purposes and must not interfere with employee productivity. Deka Lash has a public persona on Facebook, Twitter, Yelp and other Social Media sites. We encourage our employees to regularly contribute to marketing the studio, its services, and its personnel by using these resources in a regular, professional and positive manner. You must submit requests for time off, two weeks prior to the first day you will be absent.   An approval or denial will be sent to you within 2 business days following your submittal.

Referral Program

Employee Referral Incentive Program

Deka Lash is always looking for top talent and great personalities to add to our dynamic workforce. There is a no more effective recruitment tool than that of our most valued asset: our current employees. Our employees know firsthand all the benefits of working for Deka Lash and how we foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and the highest service to our customers.

If a person you refer is hired, you can be eligible to receive a $1000 referral reward.


To qualify for the referral incentive, the current employee’s name MUST be listed on the original application under the “referral source” at the time of submission to Human Resources. 

Adding a referring employee’s name to an application after the original submission will not satisfy this requirement. If multiple employees are listed as the referral source, the incentive funds will be evenly divided. In the event that a name is listed but not clearly defined, or if the referral source could apply to multiple employees, the Director of Human Resources will decide eligibility.

Amount of Money and Distribution Method

If the above guidelines are satisfied, the referring incumbent employee will be eligible for a total of $1000 per referral. 

A payment of $300 will be made to the referring employee after the new employee has successfully worked 90 days, and then, a second payment of $700 will be made to the referring employee after the new employee has successful performance during of a minimum of 12 months.

At any point, should either the referring employee(s) or the new employee leave Deka Lash, for any reason, the referring employee will not be entitled to further payment.

Tax Implications of Employee Referral Incentive

Monetary incentives paid to referring employees will be taxed according to current IRS guidelines.
